- 2 big size onions grind to paste
- 3 big size tomatoes grind to paste
- leaves Few chopped coriander
- 2 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 black cardamom
- 4 cloves
- 2 small piece cinnamon
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp garam masala
- 2 tsp dry fenugreek leaves crushed
- to taste Salt
- 2 tbsp oil
- as required Water
Instructions to make to make Tariwalla Chicken
- Wash the chicken and keep aside. In a pressure cooker heat oil add to it Crushed cardamom, cinnamon, cloves,bay leaf and saute till nice aroma is released.
- Put crushed ginger garlic paste fry a little add onion paste and cook till it turns brown.Now put in the tomato paste and all the powder spices except dry fenugreek and 1 tsp garam masala. Cook till tomatoes are well cooked and water is dried.
- Add chicken pieces, mix it well with the masala, cook for a few minutes.Add 1-1/2 cups of water, close the pressure cooker and cook till 2 whistles and off the flame. When pressure releases open it check gravy consistency, water can be added if needed. Put on the flame add the other 1 tsp garam masala, coriander leaves and further cook on slow flame for 2-3 minutes.
- Tariwalla Chicken is ready to serve.
